G.L. Verma, has a meritorious academic record. He topped the list of successful candidates when he did B.A. (Hons) in Political Science. He did his masters in the same subject and also LL.B. from Delhi University. After doing Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, he had a stint in the field of journalism and wrote on various issues and edited a magazine also. As a keen social worker, he took up the public issues and appeared before Courts, Tribunals and Arbitrators. He is the Secretary of Apex Society of Legal Awareness and is active in his field. He has authored the books titled Law Relating to Power of Attorney Holders and Law Relating to Conversion of Property from Leasehold to Freehold. He has published several articles on credit law, cooperatives and other subjects. Recognising his keen academic interests and active work in Cooperative Movement, Delhi Government invited him to deliver lectures to DANICS and UTCS probationers and he is empanelled amongst the esteemed Lecturers.
